Scott Laboratories, Inc. and ETS Laboratories are pleased to announce that they have opened new offices and a satellite laboratory in Healdsburg, California, on Monday, August 3, 2009. This 4,500 square foot facility is at 190 Foss Creek Circle, Suite G, near downtown Healdsburg, a short distance from the Central Healdsburg and Dry Creek exits of Highway 101.
Scott Laboratories will stock its traditional fermentation portfolio at the Healdsburg facility including products from Lallemand, Laffort, Anchor and Fordras. Additionally, Scott has added in 2009 the Enoferm product range of Lallemand that was previously handled by Vinquiry. This range is now exclusive to Scott. Included are such popular products as AMH, BDX, L-2226, ICV D47 and the “Rockpile” RP-15 yeast strains together with MBR ALPHA, BETA and PN4 bacteria. The Scott team in Healdsburg will include Nichola Hall (formerly of Vinquiry) and Sara Gibbs (a Scott veteran).
“This joint location with ETS provides North Coast winemakers with unprecedented local access to the goods and services of both of our companies,”said Bruce Scott, president of Scott Laboratories, Inc. “The enthusiastic response from local winemakers has been gratifying.”
ETS Laboratories will operate a new facility in the Foss Creek Circle location, sharing Suite G with Scott Labs. ETS will offer their full range of services, including manual and automated chemistry using sequential auto-analyzers, FTIR, and flow injection techniques. The laboratory will be staffed by two of ETS’ most senior employees, and will offer frequent courier service throughout Sonoma County. ETS technical experts will regularly be available at the Healdsburg location to discuss technical questions and provide seamless integration with the ETS St. Helena facility.
“With our new location, we will be able to provide our clients in the Sonoma County with even greater standards of convenience and service, continuing the close relationship ETS has always held with the Sonoma wine industry.” said Gordon Burns, president of ETS Laboratories.
ETS and Scott Laboratories are proud of a combined history of over 100 years in the North American Wine Industry. The opening of 190 Foss Creek Circle highlights each company’s commitment to the support and service of our industry for the next 100 years.

Scott Laboratories, Inc. announces that it has expanded its facilities to include an additional 12,000 square feet at 2277 Pine View in Petaluma, California. This new location is nearby Scott’s main facility (at 2220 Pine View) and will house its parts and service operations together with an all new wine analysis laboratory.
This new move allows Scott to serve its customers’ needs better by bringing its total Petaluma operations up to 55,000 square feet. Improvements include an enlarged machine shop and larger parts storage capacities together with expanded warehouse, shipping and receiving capabilities. These last features are particularly important for harvest supplies. In 2009, Scott will add 26 new products including Lallemand’s popular “Enoferm” line to its already broad fermentation supply portfolio.
Scott’s new laboratory is an important component of the changes. “We are really pleased that the expansion is ready in time for this year’s harvest”, said Laboratory Director Maggie McBride. “Our customers will be very happy with the changes.” The laboratory has been an important component part of Scott since the company was founded at the end of Prohibition in 1933. Among other features the new laboratory includes a confidential tasting room to sample the results of product trials. The lab is conveniently located on Pine View Way just west of the Lakeville Highway in Petaluma.
For over seventy-five years, Scott Laboratories has been meeting the needs of the beverage industry with innovative solutions and products. In addition to the new facility, Scott Labs operates its main office at 2220 Pine View Way in Petaluma and a cork processing plant at 1500 Cader Lane in Petaluma.
