Petaluma, Calif., April 10, 2012 -- Scott Laboratories, Inc. announces the hiring of Ashlie Helm as the newest addition to their outside sales team. Helm will be covering the Central Valley and Sierra Foothill territories.

Helm grew up in the Sierra Foothills, in Auburn, but found her passion for wine while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Her travels inspired her to enroll in the in Viticulture & Enology program at University of California, Davis; where she earned her B.S. degree.  She began working in the wine industry in 2003, at Stags’ Leap Winery as a cellar intern, which led to working a harvest in 2004 in Marlborough, New Zealand. Before joining the team at Scott Laboratories, Helm worked as Enologist at Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery, where she ran the lab, and as Assistant Winemaker for Joel Gott Wines, managing fermentations and blends with fruit from Amador County and Lodi.
